Beatcraft will show an error saying it cannot find a compatible sound device, when running on Windows Vista or above. This is a bug within the software and you can simply close the error box and the software will wok normally.

Beatcraft includes several terrific Templates, which include a lot of pre-made patterns that you can mix, match, and edit to create your own track. To load these templates, select "Open Song Template" from the "File" menu.
